Do not place the label directly on the media! To be identifiable by human and bar-code readers alike, the label must be placed on the spine, or thin side, of the container. For 4mm & 8mm DAT, and similarly shaped media, the label should be placed on the shorter spine see Media 1. For DC6000 series cartridges, and similarly shaped media, the label should be placed on the longer spine see Media 2. For all other storage options, box of 3.5" disks, TK50-85 cartridges, etc., the label should be placed on the top, thin side up.
